The client needed a measured survey and a full set of existing drawings for a residential property in Kingston upon Thames, including floor plans (ground, first and roof), all elevations, and a section through the staircase with roof structure information. They also requested broader site information such as levels and external features to support their design and coordination work.
Following issue of the draft pack, the client reviewed and marked up items that were missing from the requirements they expected to be measured, particularly level-related information. In addition, tree locations and trunk circumferences were requested after the initial scope had been agreed, which meant the team needed to confirm what was feasible from the existing visit and what would require additional capture on site.
PlanCraftDaily arranged the survey attendance and produced an initial draft drawing pack covering the agreed outputs: existing floor plans, roof plan, elevations and a section. The drafts were issued for review so the client team could quickly begin coordination and return mark-ups against their requirements.
After receiving the mark-ups, the drawings were updated to address the missing information raised by the client. Where site-level items were requested that sit outside a standard measured building survey approach, this was clearly flagged so expectations stayed aligned.
To support the late-stage request for tree information, an additional visit was scheduled with the same surveyor to capture tree positions and trunk circumferences, along with corresponding photographs. This information was then compiled into an updated “Existing Tree Plan” for the client’s use.
