The client needed accurate existing plans and elevations to support simple internal reconfigurations at a residential property in Ascot. The brief required a full measured site survey to create reliable existing drawings for early-stage design and coordination.
Because the work related to internal layout changes, the baseline information needed to be detailed enough to avoid on-site assumptions later. In addition to the general measured survey, the client requested key dimensional information such as floor-to-ceiling heights, roof ridge heights, garage measurements, and precise door/window sizing. Site features like manhole positions, wall thicknesses, and any critical measurements also needed to be recorded for a complete as-built picture.
We scheduled a site visit and carried out a measured building survey covering all required building geometry. The scope included producing drawings for all plans, sections, and elevations, with additional attention given to vertical height data and key structural/functional elements noted in the brief.
During the survey, we captured opening sizes and heights, measured wall thicknesses, and recorded garage dimensions. We also identified and located manholes and noted any critical measurements highlighted by the client’s requirements. Site photographs were taken to support drafting, checking, and future reference.
Following the survey, we translated the measured information into a coordinated existing drawing set, issued as CAD and PDF files for straightforward use in the client’s workflow and to form a reliable base for future internal layout development.
