PROJECT BRIEF

The client needed a full set of existing (as-built) drawings for a residential property in Pinner to start work from accurate measured information. The required pack included two floor plans, a roof plan, three elevations, one section, and a site/location plan.

A key constraint was access: the property could only be surveyed on a Friday, with a short agreed arrival window in the afternoon. The client also needed the drawings promptly so work could begin as soon as the information was available.

WORK COMPLETED

We scheduled a measured building survey to align with the Friday-only access requirement and confirmed the surveyor details in advance to keep the visit straightforward. Following the site visit, our team processed the measurements and produced the requested existing drawing set.

To minimise back-and-forth and keep the project moving, we issued a draft drawings pack first so the client could review layouts and key information before finalising. After the review stage, we packaged and issued the final drawings and related files, including CAD and PDF formats alongside site photographs.

OUTCOME

The client received a complete existing drawings pack for the Pinner property, covering floor plans, roof plan, elevations, a section, and a site/location plan. With the final DWG and PDF files plus photographs issued together, the client was able to begin work using a consistent, survey-based set of drawings.

STEPS

01.

Brief & drawing requirements confirmed

We confirmed the scope for an existing drawings pack and the specific sheets required: two floor plans, one roof plan, three elevations, one section, and a site/location plan. We also confirmed access constraints so the survey could be planned around the client’s Friday-only availability.

02.

Survey scheduled around access window

We booked the measured building survey for Friday, 14 November 2025, with an agreed afternoon arrival window. Surveyor details were shared in advance to keep access simple on the day and to ensure the visit could run efficiently within the available time.

03.

Measured building survey completed on site

Our surveyor attended the property and captured the measurements needed to produce accurate as-built drawings. This included the information required for plans, elevations, and the section, alongside photographs to support drawing production and help validate site conditions during CAD work

04.

CAD production + draft pack issued

Using the survey measurements, we produced the full existing drawings set and issued a draft pack for review. This step allowed the client to check the drawing set in context before final issue, helping reduce delays and ensuring the outputs matched the requested scope.
