The client team needed an accurate measured survey and existing drawings for a two-storey end-of-terrace home in Thames Ditton to support an internal reconfiguration project. The scope required the “usual” drawing set—plans and elevations—plus one section to help with design decisions and coordination.
During the project, coordination between the ground floor and first floor became especially important for design development. The design team flagged that wall lines and site lines were difficult to align between levels, and they needed confidence in the base information before progressing with decisions relating to walls and potential structural implications.
Site constraints also had to be recorded clearly. The survey notes confirmed there was no visible manhole in the front or rear gardens, which was logged so the project team could factor this into future investigation and design coordination if required.
PlanCraftDaily completed an on-site measured building survey and translated the site information into a clear set of existing (as-built) drawings. The output focused on producing dependable base drawings that could be used by the wider project team to test layout changes and coordinate plans across levels.
Following the issue of the drawing pack, we supported the design team as they reviewed the relationship between the ground floor and first floor. Where alignment questions were raised, we treated this as a technical coordination point—ensuring the existing drawing set could be relied on for ongoing design checks and discussions around wall positions and layout revisions.
All deliverables were issued in practical formats to suit downstream use in design and coordination workflows, with the drawing set structured around the agreed scope (plans, elevations, and one section) and supported by site photographs.
