Home » Case Studies » Mixed-Use Property Survey & Existing Drawings in Tooting, London
The client needed a measured survey and a complete set of existing drawings for a mixed-use property in Tooting, including the upper floors and loft. A key constraint was that the ground-floor shop was occupied on a long lease and could not be vacant, so the survey had to be planned to work safely and efficiently around an active, busy business.
The survey visit also needed a specific arrival window, with clear on-site coordination to keep disruption to a minimum. In addition to capturing the building accurately, the client required a defined drawing scope covering multiple floor plans, a roof plan, front and rear elevations, and a section—ready to be issued in both CAD and PDF formats.
PlanCraftDaily coordinated the survey booking and provided the assigned surveyor’s details in advance so access could be managed smoothly. The visit was scheduled within the agreed arrival window, with the approach tailored to maintain the shop’s day-to-day operation while measurements were taken.
Following the site visit, we produced the existing drawing set to the agreed scope: three floor plans (covering the upper levels and loft), one roof plan, two elevations (front and rear), and one section. A draft drawing pack was first issued for review, then the final drawing package was released once the client confirmed everything was in order, including the CAD and PDF files and accompanying site photographs.
