Tim asked us to carry out a full measured survey and existing drawings for a house near Tonbridge. The drawings were needed for a future planning application, and he wanted the house, carport, garage and side access all included. He also asked for ceiling heights and doorway heights.
We first agreed the scope and sent a clear fee breakdown within the budget range, covering:
- Full measured survey
- Existing floor plans and roof plans
- All side elevations and one section
Once Tim confirmed, we booked the survey for a Friday afternoon, when the estate agent could provide keys. We confirmed that our surveyor would collect the keys from the local agent, carry out the survey, and return them after the visit.
After the survey, we let Tim know that everything had gone ahead as planned and gave an estimated turnaround of 5–6 working days. As we moved into our internal quality check, we updated him again and flagged that a Bank Holiday might cause a small delay.
We then sent a draft drawings pack for review. After the invoice was paid, we released:
- Final DWG and PDF drawings
- All related files via a download link
- A payment receipt
Tim now has a complete, accurate set of existing drawings ready to use for his client’s planning application.
